Anna Lyons leads these fun wheel throwing courses and will teach students the fundamentals of throwing pottery on the wheel. These fundamentals are centering, pulling walls into a cylinder or bowl form, and an introduction to pottery tools. Throwing pottery on the wheel is a lifelong pursuit and for beginners a failed first attempt at throwing something is not a shock and should not be discouraging.
The class goal is to get familiar with the environment and tools of the wheel, throw one successful piece of pottery, and have fun!

Members may also participate in monthly challenges, art shows and market days hosted by Fat Cat!
